Children's Book Week

FLE celebrates Children's Book Week the week before Thanksgiving break. This year was no exception. It was a fun filled time. Each day had a different theme.
Monday~~Frank Long Storyland. We were to decorate our class door with our favorite book. We had a hard time deciding which book was our favorite, so instead of one book for the class, each student chose their favorite book and drew a picture about it. We then put all of the drawings together and made a class quilt.
Tuesday~~Crazy Sock day....our students are crazy about reading!
Wednesday~~Read'in Lock'in/Pajama Day....we all wore our p.j.'s (yes, even me!). We had two guest readers come and read to our class. One guest reader was from Target and the other were J.V. football players from Bradwell.
Thursday~~Sunglass Day...it's cool to be a good reader.
Friday~~Hat Day...hat's off to reading

Classes that achieved 80 AR points with a test average of at least 85% were able to see the movie Space Chimps 2. I am proud to say not only did we get our AR points and test average, we exceeded both! Our class worked hard all week and by Thursday afternoon (the original cut off day) we had 116 points and a test average of 89.1% Way to go!!! I am so very proud of each and every one of you. Every student in our class contributed to the AR points.
